NORD have acted as masterplanners, executive architects, and interior designers during the course of the last 6 years on The printworks project in Glasgow City Centre. During this time NORD have delivered a leisure complex with a combined capacity of 3,000 people over 5 floors of entertainment with 3 nightclubs, one function room, 3 restaurants, 2 public bars, a members club and 5 external terrace areas. The project involved the refurbishment of listed buildings in the heart of the city centre with close consultation with Historic Scotland. The complex operates as 3 licensed premises and as such NORD had to offer expertise in operational and services strategies while managing a complex fire strategy. The project has won a number of interior design prizes and was crowned most stylish venue at The Scotland With Style Awards in 06-07.
