Wexford
11100m2 Headquarter Offices for Wexford County Council are currently on site and scheduled to complete early 2010.The material palette consists of an outer skin of low iron glass structurally bonded to bronze anodized aluminium framing. The six blocks containing the individual departments are clad entirely in slabs of Kilkenny Blue Limestone with flush detailed glazed units providing daylighting and natural ventilation. Internal elements are formed in European Oak.
The placement and layout of the building allows for fine elevated views of the River Slaney. Externally the landscape strategy consists of expanses of hard surfaced terraces with framed areas of ferns and grasses with native tree species.
