NORD
with Mike Hyatt Landscape Architects and Loci Design have been awarded
a special commendation after being placed second in the City of Dublin’s
Father Collin’s Park Competition.
A central lake provides a self-sustaining ecosystem which can be used for swimming
as well a natural wildlife habitat. A series of islands for play, sculpture,
skating and contemplation are accessed by boat and via a causeway. Pavilion buildings
by NORD generate thresholds and focal points, linking the park to a proposed
new suburb for the city.
